Mayor McDavid appoints citizens committee for sewer ballot issue	

COLUMBIA, MO (September 19, 2013) - Mayor Bob McDavid today announced the appointment of a citizens committee to inform voters about a sewer bond issue election that will be held Nov. 5. The committee’s initial meeting will be held Monday, Sept, 23, at 1 p.m. in conference room 2A of City Hall, 701 East Broadway.

Matt Williams will serve as committee chair; Steve Erdel will serve as treasurer; Vicki Russell will serve as publicity chair; and Bruce Wilson will serve as fund raiser. Other committee members include: Kee Groshong, Scott Atkins, Jim Loveless, Cynthia Schreen, Valerie Shaw, Jason Thornhill, Don Stamper, Bob Gerding, Trent Stober, Jill Lucht, Bob Hutton, Mary Anne McCollum, Sara Lemone, Josh Oxenhandler, Joe Englin and Louesa Runge Fine.

The committee’s goal is to inform voters about improvements needed to make the city’s sewer system more reliable, improve wastewater collection throughout the community and meet federal environmental requirements.
