PSJC to Be Honored for Accreditation

COLUMBIA, MO (April 14, 2014) - COLUMBIA – Boone County Public Safety Joint Communications will be formally recognized by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) as an Emergency Fire Dispatch Center of Excellence. IAED officials will present Joint Communications with plaques recognizing the Fire Accreditation, achieved by only 25 other dispatch centers worldwide on Thursday, April 17, at 1:30 p.m. 

Joint Communications Operations Manager Brian Maydwell and Interim Director Joe Piper will be available for interviews about the accreditation, as will representatives of the IAED.

What: Presentation of Emergency Fire Dispatch Center of Excellence Accreditation
