* Columbia Fire and Police Monitoring Nightclub Occupancy Loads

COLUMBIA, MO (August 28, 2014) - The Columbia Fire Department and Columbia Police Department will be working together with local nightclubs this weekend to ensure occupancy loads are not exceeded.

Battalion Chief Brad Fraizer stated 'The fire department and police department work with nightclub owners and managers every year to make sure occupancy loads don't exceed the maximum posted limits.'  

Local adopted fire codes prescribe occupancy loads for businesses in Columbia.  'Keeping occupancy loads at the posted levels helps keep our community safe' Fraizer stated.
