Refuse and Correction: Recycling Collection Postponed, Landfills closed Tuesday Feb 4

COLUMBIA, MO (February 4, 2014) - Due to significant snowfall predicted for Columbia Tuesday February 4, Public Works has suspended refuse and recycling collection service one day. Collection services will resume Wednesday February 5, and collection schedules will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. When collection service resumes, customers are asked to place their trash in a visible and easily accessible area free of snow and ice if possible, and away from areas that could have snow dumped on it from road plows.

Landfills will also be closed Tuesday February 4 and reopen Wednesday February 5.
