Leaving The Scene Accident Downtown

COLUMBIA, MO (February 7, 2014) - LEAVING THE SCENE ACCIDENT DOWNTOWN

 

The Columbia Police Department Traffic Unit is asking for your help in trying to locate a suspect vehicle and driver that struck a City Of Columbia John Deere Tractor that was occupied with an employee who was plowing snow on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 12:03 A.M. at 701 E. Broadway.

 

Officers are looking for a Silver Mercury Sport Utility Vehicle. The driver has been described as a white female, college aged with blonde hair. The attached picture was captured by the downtown cameras of a vehicle traveling on east Broadway at 12:02 A.M., a minute before the accident, matching the same description of the vehicle in the leaving the scene accident.

 

The City of Columbia Employee was taken to the hospital, by a Columbia Police Officer, for a cut on top of the employee’s head. 

 

If anyone has any information about the location of the suspect vehicle or the driver, please contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (573) 875-TIPS, to remain anonymous.
