Snow Operations - Update - Wednesday, January 1 at 1:00 PM

COLUMBIA, MO (January 1, 2014) - Columbia Public Works will have a partial crew report at 3:00 PM to load salt and double check equipment. A full crew will report at 7:00 PM to treat/plow and react to changing roadway conditions.

As the forecast is calling for 2+ inches of snow, Public Works is asking our customers to please consider and/or begin moving vehicles off of priority snow routes. Moving vehicles from priority snow routes will increase the efficiency of our crews as they work to keep Columbia streets passable.We also encourage our customers to sign up for Priority Snow Route alerts at Nixle.com and check the notification box for "Columbia Public Works"

We will activate our Incident Command System (ICS) at 3:00 PM today and another update will be posted afterwards.
