Fire Damages Vacant Home in West Columbia

COLUMBIA, MO (January 29, 2014) - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 2309 Tremaine Drive on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 6:22pm.

Units arrived less than five minutes later and observed heavy fire conditions in the back of the house.

Crews performed an aggressive fire attack and brought the incident under control in approximately fifteen minutes.  The house was not occupied.

Assistant Fire Marshal Tim Bach is investigating the cause of the fire and has not determined a damage estimate yet.

Three engines, a ladder truck and a rescue squad were dispatched to this event.  No injuries were reported.
