Parks and Recreation Opens Photo Contest

COLUMBIA, MO (March 12, 2014) - Columbia Parks and Recreation invites amateur or professional photographers 18 and older to participate in a photo contest! The contest is divided into categories representing Parks and Recreation facilities, events, sports, programs and classes.

 

Criteria for judging the high-resolution photos will include those that best represent the Parks and Recreation slogan - "Creating Community through People, Parks and Programs." There will be $1,900 in prizes awarded. All photos submitted have the possibility of being used in Parks and Recreation publications and promotions with photographer acknowledgment when feasible.

 

The contest deadline is May 30, 2014. Contest rules and information can be found at www.GoColumbiaMo.com (search Photo Contest) or by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at 573-874-7460.
