Columbia Police Investigate Attempted Sexual Assault In The 4100 block of Lenoir Street

COLUMBIA, MO (May 4, 2014) - COLUMBIA POLICE INVESTIGATE ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE 4100 BLOCK OF           LENOIRSTREET


On 05-04-14, at 7:12 A.M., officers were dispatched to a local area hospital 
to contact a 23 year old female victim. The victim had been walking alone 
in the 4100 block of Lenoir Street when a male came up behind her and 
held a knife to her throat. The male suspect attempted to sexually assault 
the female, but she was able to fight back. A passing car also stopped and 
interrupted the suspect. The suspect left running on foot. The individuals 
who stopped took the female to a hospital for treatment and called 911. 
The suspect was last seen running into a wooded area on the west side of 
US-63 south of Nifong Blvd.


The suspect is described as a white male, 6’ to 6’1”, slim athletic build, 
wearing a ski mask, glasses, black sweater vest, gray t-shirt, and khaki 
cargo pants.

remain anonymous.
