Columbia Fire Department Responds to a House Fire at 2904 Rangeline St.

COLUMBIA, MO (May 20, 2014) - At 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 the Columbia Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire in north-central Columbia. Columbia Fire crews arrived on the scene at approximately 8:57 p.m. to find a fire in the kitchen of the residence.

There were no occupants in the structure at the time of the fire.  A neighbor was able to remove two dogs that were inside the structure and received a bite during the removal.  The occupant had set items on the range and left the structure.  The fire was contained to the top of the range.

The fire damage is estimated at approximately $500.
