College Avenue Lane Restrictions

COLUMBIA, MO (November 5, 2014) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that Aplex Inc., of Linn, Mo., will begin construction of a pedestrian refuge island on College Avenue at Ash Street at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10. This work will result in temporary lane restrictions on the northbound and southbound lanes of College Avenue. The work should be completed and the lane restrictions removed by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, weather permitting. This work is part of the Wabash to Hominy Bike Boulevard Project and is funded by the Federal Non-Motorized Transportation Grant. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route when possible.
