Fire Damages residence in south Columbia

COLUMBIA, MO (April 5, 2015) - At 4:32 pm, Sunday, April 5, 2015, the Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 4150 Lenoir Street Lot 21, Ed’s Trailer Court.  Several 9-1-1 callers reported smoke and fire coming from a residence.

Columbia Firefighters arrived at 4:37 p.m. to find heavy smoke and flames visible from the residence. A car and a pop-up trailer to the east of the residence were also involved.  Firefighters had the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. 

The owner arrived on scene after the fire had been extinguished.

The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation and there is no damage amount at this time.

Due to hydrant locations, two Boone County tankers were requested to assist with water supply.

Three engines, a ladder, and a rescue squad from the Columbia Fire Department and two tankers from Boone county fire responded to the incident.
