Reminder!  5th and Walnut Parking Garage to Close for Cleaning - Overnight on April 12

COLUMBIA, MO (April 10, 2015) - Columbia Public Works - Parking Utility will be conducting a "deep cleaning" of the 5th and Walnut Parking Garage beginning on Sunday, April 12 at 7:00 pm and concluding on Monday, April 13 at 7:00 am. The 5th and Walnut garage will be open for parking by 7:00 am on Monday, April 13. 

During this time period, all parking is prohibited in the garage. All vehicles should be removed from the garage before 7:00 pm on Sunday. During the time of the closure, those who normally park in the 5th and Walnut Garage may park in hourly spaces at any other city garage or in metered spaces around the garage at no charge. Vehicles with permits for the 5th and Walnut garage who opt to park in other garages should move back to the 5th and Walnut garage before 8:00 am on Monday, April 13. Those who opt to park in metered spaces downtown should move vehicles before 9:00 am on Monday, April 13.

A complete wash down of the garage will occur to help combat the corrosive effects of salt used to help keep the garage decks and streets passable this past winter. 

Reminder signs will be posted in the 5th and Walnut Garage this week.
