City of Columbia Advances Green Clean Institute Certification from Gold to Silver

COLUMBIA, MO (August 10, 2015) - The City of Columbia Missouri was recently certified by Green Clean Institute (GCI)at the Gold Level for implementation of education, products, and practices which affect in positive ways the indoor environment of City Hall and other city buildings.

The City of Columbia was awarded Silver Status two years ago and is now the first municipality in Missouri to achieve Gold status.

We invite you to join us at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11 in the lobby of City Hall at 701 East Broadway when David Thompson, President of GIC, presents city staff with the Gold Certification. The Columbia Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will also be on hand to show their support of this groundbreaking accomplishment.
