Traffic restrictions on Country Club Drive during water project

COLUMBIA, MO (December 3, 2015) - Columbia Water & Light will be upgrading an existing four-inch water line on Country Club Drive from Old Highway 63 to Alfred Street to an eight-inch water line. The project will start on Monday, Dec. 7 and will last approximately six weeks. Work will occur in the northern lane of the road so some traffic restrictions will occur in this area during the day. Motorists are urged to be cautious. 


 

The upgraded water line will increase the amount of water that can be delivered to the area for consumers and for firefighting purposes. It will also increase the reliability of water service in the area. There will be some water service disruptions to 15 customers when the service lines are connected to the new water line. These customers will be individually notified.
