Fatality Crash at Rollins Road near Westridge Drive

COLUMBIA, MO (December 4, 2015) - FATALITY CRASH AT ROLLINS ROAD NEAR WESTRIDGE DRIVE

 

Type of Incident: Fatality Crash

Date and Time: 12/4/15 at 12:13 A.M.

Location: Rollins Road near Westridge Drive

Driver #1: Christopher E. Master, Columbia, Missouri

Age: 26

Injuries: Fatal

Seatbelt: No

 

 

DETAILS OF INCIDENT:

 

The crash occurred as a 1997 Chevy Suburban was traveling west on Rollins Road near Westridge Drive.  The vehicle left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk which was located on the north side of the roadway.  The driver drove the vehicle across both lanes of Rollins Road when the vehicle turned sideways and slid across a portion of a residential yard.  The vehicle struck a tree on the driver side and the driver of the vehicle was ejected.  The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver of the vehicle, Christopher E. Masters, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Impairment by drugs and or alcohol is unknown at this time.
