CPD ANNOUNCES SELECTION OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH OFFICERS

COLUMBIA, MO (December 15, 2015) - The Columbia Police Department is proud to announce the selection of the following officers to fill the Community Outreach Unit (COU):


*Officer Scott Lenger

*Officer Matt Rodriguez

*Officer Gamal Castile

*Officer Phillip Shull


These officers come in addition to the current team of Officer Justin Anthony and Officer Tony Parker. The COU will work in two-officer teams and will be assigned to specific areas of town. Their mission is to open lines of communication with the community while rebuilding community partnerships. In addition, COU officers will also handle calls for service in their assigned neighborhoods.

 

The transition date and times for these officers has not been determined at this point. COU will continue to be supervised by Sergeant Mike Hestir and Lieutenant Geoff Jones.
