Columbia Public Works - Snow response - 9:00 PM Sunday 2/15

COLUMBIA, MO (February 15, 2015) - Columbia Public Works has 30 pieces of equipment now treating 1st and 2nd priority roads in Columbia. Moderate snowfall has roads snow covered.

At 9:00 am there is about 1 inch of snow on the ground. We expect to reach the 2 inch criteria to enforce the "No Parking on Priority Snow Routes" within an hour or two.

We are asking our media partners to please remind viewers and listeners that if you are parked on a priority snow route in Columbia, if you do not move your vehicle when there are 2+ inches of snow, the vehicle owner risks a $100 citation and having the vehicle towed at the owner expense.

Moving vehicles from the priority routes allow Public Works crews to make priority routes passable in a more efficient manor.

A map of priority routes can be found on CoMoSnow.com.
