UPDATED - Columbia Public Works - Priority Snow Route Enforcement - 9:00 PM Sunday 2/15
COLUMBIA, MO (February 15, 2015) - Columbia Public Works has 30 pieces of equipment now treating 1st and 2nd priority roads in Columbia. Moderate snowfall has roads snow covered.
At 9:30 pm there is now about 2 inchs of snow on the ground. We have reached the 2 inch criteria to enforce the "No Parking on Priority Snow Routes". Ticketing and towing from Priority Routes will begin by 10:00 pm.
We are asking our media partners to please remind viewers and listeners that if you are parked on a priority snow route in Columbia, if you do not move your vehicle when there are 2+ inches of snow, the vehicle owner risks a $100 citation and having the vehicle towed at the owner expense.
Moving vehicles from the priority routes allow Public Works crews to make priority routes passable in a more efficient manor.
A map of priority routes can be found on CoMoSnow.com.
