UPDATED: COMO Connect late start schedule and detours Monday, February 16
COLUMBIA, MO (February 16, 2015) - Due to heavy snowfall in Columbia overnight and in the early morning of Monday, February 16, COMO Connect bus service starts at 10am. Buses will be running the "Saturday" schedule on routes from 10am-2pm, and then return to normal weekday schedules after 2pm. (Note: the 7 Dark Green and 11 Aqua routes will be in service from 10am-2pm as well, even though they normally don't have a "Saturday" schedule.) Road conditions in some areas of the city are still unsafe for buses to serve so the Black (1), Orange (4), and Blue (5) routes will have detours for the remainder of the day. Customers can see maps of the detours and real-time tracking information on COMOconnect.doublemap.com/map.
Feb 16 DETOURS (effective all day):
Black Route (1A and 1B): The Black route is on detour in south Columbia near Grindstone/Providence, and Grindstone/Old Hwy 63. Bus will not run on Buttonwood near Gateway Apartments, or on Nifong near The Pointe Apts or The Cottages Apts. Instead it will turn directly from Providence Rd to Grindstone and then north on Old Hwy 63, and the same route in the opposite direction as well. Bus stops in neighborhoods south of Grindstone will not be in service today. See DoubleMap for detour route.
Orange Route (4): The Orange route in north Columbia will be on detour on the east end of route near Mexico Gravel Road and Ballenger Lane. The eastbound bus will turn around at the first round-about on Mexico Gravel Rd and will not connect to the 5 Blue route at Ballenger. See DoubleMap for detour route.
Blue Route (5): The Blue route in northeast Columbia will be on detour on the east end of its route including a section of I-70 Drive SE, St. Charles Rd, and a section of eastern Clark Lane. Areas affected include Lake of the Woods and Battle High School. From the intersection of Keene/I-70 Drive SE, the bus will travel west and then north over I-70 using the I-70/63 connector, travel east on Clark Lane, and turn north on Ballenger. Bus stops along St Charles Rd and Clark Lane east of Ballenger will not have bus service while roads remain impassable. The bus will also detour the north section of Ballenger Lane north of Rice Road and not connect to the 4 Orange Route at Mexico Gravel Road. See DoubleMap for detour route.
ParaTransit services have been suspended for the entire day. Please call and reschedule your ride if necessary.
TigerLine day routes have been suspended due to MU classes being cancelled, but the campus will be running the TigerLine night routes 405 and 406 approximately every 30 minutes during the day today to bring students to and from campus.
For the latest information and timely updates today and during all winter weather events, customers will be notified on DoubleMap, twitter, and facebook.
