Fire Chief White Announces New Deputy Chief 

COLUMBIA, MO (February 18, 2015) - Fire Chief Randy White announces the promotion of Battalion Chief Kyle Fansler to Deputy Fire Chief. He succeeds Chief White who served in this position prior to becoming Fire Chief. 


Fansler rose through the ranks serving as Fire Fighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain and Battalion Chief. He has a Bachelors of Science degree from Central Missouri State University and has served the department in numerous special projects throughout his career. He is 41 years old.

Chief White stated "After great consideration, I have asked Kyle Fansler to take on the responsibilities of the Deputy Fire Chief. Kyle's skill set makes him a good match not only for the department and it's future, but also fits well with me and my leadership style."


Chief Fansler's promotion became effective Tuesday, February 17.
