City offices closed on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

COLUMBIA, MO (January 12, 2015) - City offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The regular City Council meeting will be held Tuesday, Jan. 20. Collection of residential refuse and recycling will not be made Jan. 19 and will be delayed one day the rest of the week. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection should be directed to the Solid Waste Division at (573) 874-6291.

COMO Connect, Columbia's public transit system, will not operate Jan. 19. The sanitary landfill will be closed and parking meters will not be enforced. Though administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available.
