Fire Damages residence in south Columbia
COLUMBIA, MO (January 30, 2015) - At 6:49 pm, Friday, January 30, 2015, the Columbia Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 3501 New Haven Road, lot 171, Woodstock Estates Trailer Court. Several 9-1-1 callers reported smoke and fire coming from a residence.
Columbia Firefighters arrived at 6:55 p.m. to find heavy smoke visible from the residence. Firefighters entered the structure and had then fire under control in less than five minutes.
The owner reported the occupants had moved out the day before.
The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation and there is no damage amount at this time.
Due to hydrant locations, a Boone County tanker was requested to assist with water supply.
Three engines, a ladder, and a rescue squad from the Columbia Fire Department and one tanker from Boone county fire responded to the incident.
