City will host forum on proposed plastic bag ordinance Feb. 3

COLUMBIA, MO (January 28, 2015) - Want to know more about the proposed single-use plastic bag ordinance scheduled for a first read at the Feb. 16 City Council meeting? Come listen to and speak with members of city council; Columbia's Environment and Energy Commission; the Sierra Club, Missouri River Relief; University of Missouri Professor Dr. Vom Saal; city staff; and fellow Columbia residents in a presentation and discussion focused on the history, local impacts and specifics of the proposed ordinance.

The educational forum will be held for all Columbia residents from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.
