Columbia Police Department Releases Results of Impaired Drivers Enforcement from July 3, 2015 - July 5, 2015

COLUMBIA, MO (July 7, 2015) - Columbia Police Department Releases Results of Impaired Drivers Enforcement from July 3, 2015 – July 5, 2015

         

          (Columbia, MO) –     On the night of Friday, July 3, 2015 the Columbia Police Department, assisted by deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and Officers with the University of Missouri Police Department, conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Providence Road at Big Bear Boulevard.  The check point began at approximately 10:30 p.m. and concluded at 2:26 A.M.  During this checkpoint, 351 motorists were contacted.  The following arrests were made:

 

4 Driving While Intoxicated4 Driving While Suspended, Revoked, or Otherwise Unlicensed2 Endangering the Welfare of Child1 Possession of Firearm by Felon1 Possession of Certain Weapons Prohibited3 No Operator’s License1 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia3 Possession of Controlled Substance (misdemeanor offenses)3 outstanding warrants

 

Three additional arrests were made for Driving While Intoxicated on July 4 during Driving While Intoxicated Saturation Patrols.

 

The Columbia Police Department wishes to thank those motorists who encountered the checkpoint for their patience and cooperation during our efforts to make Columbia’s roadways safer for us all.
