CPD JOINT EFFORTS YIELD ARREST IN BURGLARIES AND VAN LOADS OF STOLEN PROPERTY

COLUMBIA, MO (July 10, 2015) - The Columbia Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Division (CID) and Patrol Unit served several residential search warrants over the last two days that led to an arrest and a multitude of recovered property from burglary cases.

 

Executed search warrants include the following residences: 21 Navaho Avenue in Columbia, 211 Mohawk Avenue in Columbia, and 2308 Live Oak Lane in Columbia. During the searches, detectives were able to identify stolen property from the following burglary reports:

 


*1/6/15 – 2600 block of Old 63 South (2015-000207)

*1/16/15 – 20th block of Clearview Drive (BCSD 2015-000235)

*2/4/15 – 2500 block of Shamrock Drive (2015-001270)

*3/3/15 – 1500 block of Secretariat Drive (2015-002293)

*3/30/15 – 200 block of Old Plank Road (2015-003312)

*4/16/15 – 2300 block of Paw Print Lane (2015-004088)

*5/1/15 – 300 block of Burnside Drive (2015-004722)

*6/15/15 – 5400 block of Murfreesboro Drive (2015-006477)

Additional property was located and detectives are still connecting the property to open burglary cases.

 

Detectives arrested 33-year-old Prinston Marqua Warren in connection to the stolen property. Warren was connected to all three residences where the warrants were served. During search at 211 Mohawk Avenue on 7/8/15, detectives located approximately three (3) pounds of marijuana and US currency in a bedroom identified as Warren’s. Further, on 7/8/15, detectives located approximately two (2) pounds of marijuana and US currency at 21 Navaho Avenue.

 

Detectives arrested Warren on 7/8/15 at 2:24 P.M. at 21 Navaho Avenue for the following:


*Felony Distribution/Delivery/Manufacture/Produce a Controlled Substance

*Six (6) counts of Felony Receiving Stolen Property

*Felony Burglary in the Second Degree

* 


Warren is being held at the Boone County Jail on a $218,000.00 bond, of which $18,000.00 is a cash-only bond.

 

The Columbia Police Department would like to recognize the outstanding work done by CID and Patrol Units. Burglary suppression has been a primary focus for the department and this accomplishment is only a reflection of the hard work and dedication delivered by our outstanding officers.
