Monthly Siren Test on Wednesday

COLUMBIA, MO (June 1, 2015) - Boone County Joint Communications, in coordination with the Office of Emergency Management, will conduct the monthly test of all hazard outdoor warning sirens at Noon on Wednesday, June 3. The test is conducted to ensure the city and county’s outdoor warning system is working correctly.  In the event of threatening weather, the test will be cancelled.

With strong to severe thunderstorms becoming more frequent in the late spring and early summer months, residents are encouraged to use Wednesday’s test as an opportunity to assess their disaster plans at their home, school or business.
