Sidewalk closures on Elm and 9th Street postponed until June 15

COLUMBIA, MO (June 10, 2015) - UPDATE: Demolition and sidewalk closures have been postponed until Monday, June 15 at 8:00a.m.

Original Press Release: Beginning Wednesday, June 10th at 8:00am, Emery Sapp and Sons will start demolition of the building at 225 S 9th Street in downtown Columbia. This work will result in a full sidewalk closure on the north side of Elm Street between 8th Street and 9th Street and a partial sidewalk closure on the west side of 9th Street between Locust Street and Elm Street. Work should be completed and sidewalks reopened by Thursday, July 9th at 8:00am, weather permitting.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
