Motor Vehicle Accident on I-70 Westbound

COLUMBIA, MO (June 19, 2015) - On Friday, 06/19/15 at 0049 hours, Columbia Fire Department and crews were dispatched to I-70 Westbound/Highway 63 Connector for a reported multi-commercial vehicle accident.

Quint 5 and crew arrived on the scene at 0058 hours and both lanes of I-70 Westbound were shut down by approximately six tractor trailers.  Four patients from the incident were transported to University Hospital for further evaluation.  Fire crews quickly mitigated fuel leakage from the tractor trailer's fuel tanks.   

Fire crews remained on the scene until all tractor trailers were removed from I-70 Westbound.
