TWO EARLY MORNING ARMED ROBBERIES

COLUMBIA, MO (June 19, 2015) - At 4:17 A.M., officers were dispatched to 1410 Forum Boulevard, Break Time Convenience Store, in reference to a robbery with a weapon. The investigation revealed the suspect entered the business armed with a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk provided an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled the scene. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

 

At 5:40 A.M., officers also responded to 126 Providence Road South, Midwest Petroleum, for a robbery with a weapon. Similar to the robbery at Break Time, the suspect entered the business armed with a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

 

Detectives believe the two incidents are related as the suspect described in both has a similar description. The suspect is described as a black male around 5’8” with short hair, a thin build, and in his early twenties. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, shorts, and a hat.
