July's Outdoor Siren Test on Wednesday

COLUMBIA, MO (June 29, 2015) - Weather permitting, the monthly test of Boone County’s outdoor warning sirens will be conducted on Wednesday, July 1. Sirens will be activated at Noon.

The test is conducted to ensure the city and county’s outdoor warning system is working correctly.  Residents are encouraged to use the test as an opportunity to discuss emergency plans with family or staff. 

In the event of threatening weather, the test will be cancelled.
