Dye testing on Stormwater system may tint Flatbranch Creek and Tributaries Green

COLUMBIA, MO (March 19, 2015) - Columbia Public Works Stormwater Utility used green intert dye in stormwater drains in the downtown area today to assist with determining where stormwater pipes may be inter-connected.

The green dye will likely appear in the tributary which runs through Peace Park and Flat Branch creek. The dye is intert and poses no risk to humans, animals or aquatic invertabrae.

Todays rains should also help dilute the dye.
