Columbia Pools Opening Date Moved Up
COLUMBIA, MO (May 15, 2015) - Columbia Parks and Recreation’s outdoor pools will open for Memorial Day weekend, then will officially open for the season on Thursday, May 28. The date was rescheduled since the last day of school for Columbia Public School students is May 27.
Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center, Lake of the Woods Pool, Douglass Family Aquatic Center and Little Mates Cove at Twin Lakes will be open from 12 to 5 p.m. on May 23, 24 and 25. Normal summer hours will take effect on May 28.
Pool fees for the summer vary by facility: at Lake of the Woods Pool and Little Mates Cove, admission is $1.50 for youth between 2 and 15 years of age and $2.75 for adults 16 and older. Patrons at Douglass Family Aquatic Center pay $1 admission and Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center admission is $2.50 for youth between 2 and 15 years of age and $3.75 for adults 16 and older.
Coupon books and aquatic season passes are available as well.
Following are pool schedules for the summer. Pool hours are subject to change:
Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center, 1900 Blue Ridge Road—12 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Lake of the Woods, 6700 St. Charles Road--1-7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Douglass Family Aquatic Center, 400 N. Providence— 1-7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Little Mates Cove at Twin Lakes, 2500 Chapel Hill Road—11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
