Chemical Spill

COLUMBIA, MO (November 5, 2015) - On Thursday, 11/05/15 at 1330 hours, Columbia Fire Department and crews were dispatched to 1009 Rogers Street for a report chemical spill.  Further information, BCJC stated two students had received burns from the chemical nitrous acid.  

Chief 7 arrived on the scene at 1335 hours.  Fire crews located three patients with chemical burns in the health area of Columbia College.  One patient was transported to University Hospital.   

Fire crews remained onthe scene until maintenance crews were able to mitigate the spill.
