City Plans Kwanzaa Celebration

COLUMBIA, MO (November 25, 2015) - Columbia Parks and Recreation will host the annual City Kwanzaa Celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 5 at Douglass High School Gym, 310 N. Providence Rd.

 

Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday which is based around developing positive families and communities.  Traditional African or Afro-centric attire is suggested but not required.  The event will feature plenty of entertainment and a holiday feast.

 

The Kwanzaa celebration is free and open to the public.

 

Organizations or groups who are interested in setting up a booth for this event should contact Bill Thompson at 874-6379 or email blt at gocolumbiamo.com.
