UPDATE: Closure of Grand Avenue extended to Friday, Nov. 13

COLUMBIA, MO (November 10, 2015) -  

UPDATE: Completion of this project will now occur on Friday, November 13

Columbia Water & Light will be closing a section of Grand Avenue, north of Business Loop 70, to lay conduit for electric and telecommunication lines. The project will start on Wednesday, November 4 and is expected to be completed by the end of Tuesday, November 10. The conduit is being installed in conjunction with undergrounding overhead utility lines along the Business Loop. Motorists will be detoured around the block, using Colorado Avenue to access businesses located on Grand Avenue. There should not be any electric service disruptions during the week that the conduit is being installed.
