Sexton, Garth, Oak, and Lynn Redevelopment Planning Meeting to be Held October 24

COLUMBIA, MO (October 22, 2015) - On Saturday, October 24, 2015, the City of Columbia Community Development Department is holding a Neighborhood meeting at the Centro Latino de Salud facility located at 609 N. Garth from 1- 3 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to obtain input to help shape the redevelopment of lots located on Garth, Sexton, Oak and Lynn.  The City will likely be purchasing several adjoining properties that could involve the redevelopment of storm sewer improvements, green space, park, playground, sidewalks, street lighting and/or a community garden.  Information collected during the event will be used to shape a plan for redevelopment.  The City will likely be closing on the purchase of these properties by December 31, 2015.
