City offices closed on Labor Day; City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8

COLUMBIA, MO (September 1, 2015) -             (COLUMBIA, MO) - City offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day. The regular City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Residential trash and recycling will not be collected on Sept. 7 and will be delayed one day after the holiday for the remainder of the week.  City buses will not operate and parking meters will not be enforced. The sanitary landfill will be closed.  Police and fire administrative offices will be closed but all other emergency services will be available.
