Free Roots N Blues N BBQ tickets for low income residents
COLUMBIA, MO (August 19, 2016) - Columbia Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for free tickets to the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival, Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Stephens Lake Park. A limited number of tickets were made available for Columbia's low-income residents through an agreement with festival coordinators, Thumper Entertainment.
Applications will be accepted starting Monday, Aug. 22, and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 9 for consideration. Applications are available online at www.CoMo.gov/parksandrec, or they may be picked up and submitted at Parks and Recreation's administrative office at 1 S. Seventh St.
A random drawing of applicants meeting eligibility requirements will be held on Sept. 12. Ticket winners will be notified by phone or email.
Applicants must be residents of the City of Columbia with a total household income less than 185 percent of the federal poverty level. Each household is limited to one application with a maximum of four tickets distributed per household. Children ages 12 and under do not need a ticket to attend the festival.
