Shots fired into dwelling on Third Avenue

COLUMBIA, MO (February 1, 2016) - On 1/31/16 at 8:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Third Avenue in reference to shots fired.

 

Preliminary investigation revealed several shots were fired into a residence in the area. Some of the bullets penetrated the walls and entered the residence where multiple occupants, including adults and children, were. The suspect(s) proceeded to flee the area toward Fourth Avenue. There were no reported injuries and the amount of property damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is on-going.
