"Road Closure"  West Boulevard between Lathrop Road and Rollins Road

COLUMBIA, MO (January 5, 2016) - On Tuesday, 01/05/16 at 9:35 a.m. Columbia Fire Crews were dispatched to the 600 Block of West Boulevard for a reported vehicle accident with injuries.  Further information, BCJC stated there was arcing coming from a powerline. 

When CFD fire crews arrived on the scene at 9:40 a.m. they observed a vehicle that struck a residential structure. The two occupants inside the structure were non-harmed. The driver of the vehicle was also non-harmed. Further investigation of the fire crews on the scene observed a damaged telephone pole. 

Water and Light was dispatched to the scene to replace the damaged telephone pole. 

West Boulevard will be closed off between Lathrop Road and Rollins Road for most of the day.  Water and Light will contact BCJC to notify them when the road is re-opened.
