Surface seal operations scheduled for 13 Columbia streets July 27-August 5 [Update]

COLUMBIA, MO (July 21, 2016) - Update Details: Musselman & Hall, the private contractor applying surface sealer to Columbia roads, has updated its work schedule. Current plans are to begin surface seal operations on Wednesday, July 27, rather than Monday, July 25.

Surface seal operations scheduled for 13 Columbia streets July 25-August 5

 

Columbia Public Works Department announced Wednesday plans to surface seal 13 streets July 25-August 5.  The Onyx surface treatment is a fast-drying asphalt roadway and pavement sealing solution designed to extend pavement life.

Scheduled streets (from - to)

Orchard Court (Crown Point to the north end)


Garth Court (Garth Avenue to east end)


Hickory Hill Drive (Sunset Drive to south end)


Bayonne Court (Hulen Drive to southeast end)


Jesse Lane (Jake Lane to south end)


Tahoe Court (Martin Drive to west end)


Danforth Circle (Danforth Drive to west end)


Danforth Drive (Danforth Circle to south end)


Timber Hill Road (Timber Hill Street to south end)


Timber Hill Terrace (Timber Hill Road to west end)


Meadowvale Court (Rice Road to south end)


Old Hwy 63 (Amonnette to Chinaberry)


Providence Outer Road (Hinkson Bridge to Green Meadows)



Musselman & Hall, a private contractor, is applying the surface sealer and providing traffic control. Motorists and nonmotorized transportation users can expect minor delays and should follow the instructions of flaggers and no parking signs posted in the area. Vehicles left on the streets may be ticketed and towed.
