Vehicle Fire in Brown Station Park

COLUMBIA, MO (July 22, 2016) - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 3505 Jamesdale at 2:55am on Friday, July 22, 2016.  

Fire crews arrived on the scene approximately eight minutes later and found a vehicle on fire in Brown Station Park located behind the address on Jamesdale.  Fire crews performed an aggressive fire attack using a pre-connected hose line and had the incident under control a few minutes later.  

One pedestrian was found in the area of the vehicle and evaluated by fire and ambulance personnel.  This person was not transported to the hospital.

Assistant Fire Marshal Kyle Edwards noted damage to the park was contained to an area containing mulch.  No other structures were damaged.

Seven units from the Columbia Fire Department responded to this call.  There were no reported injuries.
