Skateboarding event, Shred Fest, scheduled for June 4

COLUMBIA, MO (June 1, 2016) - Celebrate Go Skate Day at Shred Fest. This skateboarding event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 at the Columbia Skate Park in Cosmo Park, 1615 Business Loop 70 West.

 

Shred Fest will feature skating contests, free time to skate and helmet giveaways.

The event is free to compete in and attend. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate.

 

Helmets are required for all contests, regardless of age. The day will also feature great music and food. Don’t miss out on raffles, giveaways and skate-related prizes.

 

Shred Fest is presented by Columbia Parks and Recreation, Parkside Skateshop, Blue Springs Pilot Club, Youth Community Coalition and Gumby’s Pizza.
