Columbia Police Department Vehicle Involved In A Motor Vehicle Accident With 8 Year Old In Stephens Lake Park

COLUMBIA, MO (June 8, 2016) - COLUMBIA POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH 8 YEAR OLD IN STEPHENS LAKE PARK

 

On 6/8/16 at 7:41 P.M., a Columbia Police Department K9 officer was attending a special event for the police department at Stephens Lake Park located at 2001 E. Broadway. After the event, participants of the event and the officer were leaving the parking lot at the southeast corner of Stephens Lake Park when the officer’s vehicle struck the child. The eight year old male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The investigation is ongoing.
