Robbery/Shooting in the area of Sexton Road and Jewell Avenue

COLUMBIA, MO (June 12, 2016) - ROBBERY/SHOOTING IN THE AREA OF SEXTON ROAD AND JEWELL AVENUE

 

On 6/12/16 at 7:00 P.M., officers were dispatched to a gunshot wound at a local hospital. 

 

The investigation revealed a male victim, age 28, reported he was walking on Sexton Road near Jewell Avenue when he was approached by four black males.  The victim reported one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The victim refused and was shot by one of the suspects. All four suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim arrived by personal vehicle at a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury. Detectives are on scene investigating the incident. There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.
