Arrest Made in Robbery At The Eagle Stop

COLUMBIA, MO (June 14, 2016) - ARREST MADE IN ROBBERY AT THE EAGLE STOP

 

On 6/14/16 at 12:50 A.M., officers were dispatched to a robbery at 1704 N. Providence Road, Eagle Stop.  Joint Communications advised a Signal 88 Security guard had the suspect detained inside the store.

 

The investigation revealed Garcia entered the gas station, raised his right hand in the shape of a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. Before the cashier could get any money for Garcia, a Signal 88 security guard intervened and detained Garcia until officers arrived on scene.   Officers arrested Robert G. Garcia, age 34, from Columbia, for Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond.
