UPDATE - Sidewalk and Lane Restrictions - S 9th St, S 10th St, Locust St and the Alley between Locust and Cherry
COLUMBIA, MO (March 15, 2016) - UPDATE - The information released concerning the sidewalk closures and lane restrictions scheduled to begin on March 14 was gleaned from the application form Fields Holdings, LLC submitted to the City of Columbia. Any questions concerning the reasons which demolition or other work did not start on the date cited in the application should be directed to Fields Holdings, LLC.
Original release:
Beginning Monday, March 14 at 7 a.m., Fields Holdings, LLC is planning to demolish buildings at 124 S. Ninth Street, 130 S. Ninth Street and 121 S. 10th Street.. This will result in closures/restrictions on South Ninth Street, Locust Street, South 10th Street, and the alley between Locust Street and Cherry Street. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, April 13 at 5 p.m., weather permitting. In conjunction with this closure, a long term closure will follow this short term closure upon Columbia City Council approval.
Motorists and non-motorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
