Closure of sidewalk on South Seventh Street

COLUMBIA, MO (May 24, 2016) - Scheduled for Friday, May 27, at 8 a.m., Hercon Construction Inc. plans to remove and replace sidewalk and reconstruct the roof of the building near 119 S. Seventh Street.  

This work will result in a sidewalk closure on the west side of South Seventh Street between East Cherry Street and East Locust Street. There will also be a closure of the alley between South Sixth Street and South Seventh Street.  

Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, June 17, at 7 p.m., weather permitting.  

However, a long-term closure of this sidewalk is also planned once this project is completed, pending City Council approval.

Hercon Construction Inc. is a private contractor that applied for and received a construction permit from the City of Columbia.
