City offices closed Labor Day; City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 6

COLUMBIA, MO (September 1, 2016) - City of Columbia offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day. The regular City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
 Residential refuse and curbside recycling collection will not be made Monday and will be delayed one day the remainder of the week. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection should be directed to the Columbia Utilities - Solid Waste Division at 573-874-2489. COMO Connect, Columbia's public transit system, will not operate, the sanitary landfill will be closed and parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Sept. 5.  Police and fire administrative offices will be closed but all other emergency services will be available.
